As readers know, my M*A*S*H collection primarily consists of objects related to the production of the show. Scripts, press material, objects from the set, books and memoirs, etc. are my primary focus. But there are some licensed products in my collection as well, and I thought I highlight some of the more fun items. M*A*S*HContinue reading “MishM*A*S*H 32: Milton Bradley Board Game”

MishM*A*S*H 31: “The Swamp” Blueprints
When I first started buying M*A*S*H DVDs in the early 2000s, I was in high school and that was how I connected with the series. I had watched it on TV for years, but the DVDs were a way to physically own the show and watch it when I wanted. The thought of owning somethingContinue reading “MishM*A*S*H 31: “The Swamp” Blueprints”
MishM*A*S*H 30: M*A*S*H Syndication Kit (1990)
In January, I wrote a post about a M*A*S*H syndication kit from the mid-1980s. This week, I am going to feature the other syndication kit that I have in my collection, a kit from 1990. This kit is different as it has more features including more theme week ideas, advertising samples, a video cassette ofContinue reading “MishM*A*S*H 30: M*A*S*H Syndication Kit (1990)”
MishM*A*S*H 29: M*A*S*H Finale Magazines and TV Guides
Tomorrow marks the 41st anniversary of the original broadcast of “Goodbye, Farewell and Amen,” the two-and-a-half hour M*A*S*H finale. To celebrate the anniversary in the past, I have posted the episode’s script, production documents, the press release from Fox announcing the final episode, and a collection of finale press photos. All of those materials wereContinue reading “MishM*A*S*H 29: M*A*S*H Finale Magazines and TV Guides”
MishM*A*S*H 28: M*A*S*H Syndication Kit (1984)
When the M*A*S*H finale aired on CBS on February 28, 1983, that was not the end of the series. 20th Century Fox Television had successfully sold the series to CBS in 1972, but their new challenge was to sell M*A*S*H again, this time in syndication. Keeping the series on the air in reruns on localContinue reading “MishM*A*S*H 28: M*A*S*H Syndication Kit (1984)”

MishM*A*S*H 26: Alan Alda’s Dog Tags and Boots Auction (July 2023)
In July 2023, Heritage Auctions sold Alan Alda’s boots and dog tags from M*A*S*H as a fundraiser for the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science. The auction was held in Dallas, Texas, and the dog tag and boots sold for an incredible $125,000 (including buyers premium). MishM*A*S*H 25: Donruss Bubble Gum/Trading Cards
In 1982, the year in which M*A*S*H began its final season, the trading card company Donruss released a series of M*A*S*H trading cards. These cards were packaged with gum, and you could try to collect all 66 of the cards. On the front the card was a cast member photo, cast photo, or a screenshotContinue reading “MishM*A*S*H 25: Donruss Bubble Gum/Trading Cards”
MishM*A*S*H 24: 2009 TV Land Awards (M*A*S*H Reunion)
When we think of award shows, the first ones that come to mind are the Emmy’s, Oscars, Tony’s, and, perhaps, the Golden Globes. These award shows honor television, movies, and theatre from the prior year. Each award ceremony celebrates the current work of actors and production teams across multiple industries. However, from 2003 to 2012Continue reading “MishM*A*S*H 24: 2009 TV Land Awards (M*A*S*H Reunion)”
MishM*A*S*H 23: Licensing Conference Kit
Last month, I reviewed a Licensed Product Kit that was sent to retailers by 20th Century Fox Television highlighting the M*A*S*H licensed products that they could carry in store. This week, we look at the other side of the licensed products strategy by reviewing a packet from a M*A*S*H licensing conference held in 1981. This folderContinue reading “MishM*A*S*H 23: Licensing Conference Kit”
